Earth Day is just around the corner, and there is no better way to prepare than by attending
Operation Adaptation, a special weekend-long concert event. It will be held at the Concord House in
Sullivan, Wisconsin April 18-20 to draw attention to eco-friendly lifestyle alternatives.
The music line up is offering some of the best roots music, bluegrass, and jam bands. Some of the stellar acts that will be gracing the two stages include:
- Chinese Fingertrap
- Fat Maw Rooney
- Willy Porter
- Bryan Cherry
- Stealin Strings
- Heatbox, and many more.
The main stage is not going to be powered by electricity. Instead, eight stationary bikes are going to be pedaled by fans in order to generate power. If you are a music lover and environmental enthusiast, this is an event that you are not going to want to miss.
In addition to the festive music, there will be numerous environmentally friendly vendors on the concert grounds, corn-based dishes and utensils available for use, as well as many other green activities.
Plenty of on-site camping and parking will be available for only $5.00, which will be donated to Jam for Jamaica. In addition, one tree will be planted for every ticket sold provided by Trees for the Future, so purchase your ticket today.
Operation Adaptation will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee. By donating eight or more non-perishable food items, your $5 camping/parking fee will be waived. It is an easy way that you can help those in need.
The festival will be a fun opportunity for everyone to contribute to promoting a healthy environment, so come join me for a weekend of live music and good food for a good cause.
